Second Star Magazine is a brand new literary and arts magazine looking for submissions for it’s inaugural issue. The magazine’s goal is to share the work of young creatives with a wide audience and to create a community of young artists and fiction lovers. We are looking for writers ages 25 and under who love to create new worlds, inspire us with great characters, and overall tell captivating stories. All genres of fiction are accepted. All submissions should be emailed to secondstarmag@gmail.com by March 28, 2016 with an author bio. Each author can submit up to 3 works which should be attached as a WORD document (pdf files will not be considered). Submissions are allowed in the following categories: flash fiction (<950 words), short fiction (950-3500 words), playwriting/drama (one act), visual art (any type, sent as a JPEG). Please keep language and content appropriate for a young audience. All authors of work selected for the inaugural issue will be notified by April 2016.
