![]() In 2003, I co-founded Los Angeles Writers Group, but I never intended to be a coach. It all started with peer-to-peer groups where I began to take on a leadership role. Soon, writers were asking me to run workshops. I was resistant, but I finally agreed, doing them for free for a long time. That pushed me to become a voracious student of the craft. Soon after, attendees started asking me to work with them privately. Again, I was resistant, so I spent years coaching for free or a nominal fee simply to gain the experience. For a long time, this was my passion project, run from a Blackberry under my desk while I worked full-time jobs. I found myself hovering around the entertainment industry, working in post-production, producing several short films, working as a corporate writer, and even working at ad agencies. My path has been anything but traditional. I am a proud, albeit unwitting, autodidact. I don’t have an MFA; I didn’t finish college. I was a Dean’s List student at Mt. St. Mary’s College, who had to drop out to navigate what I now understand is ADHD. I share this because that journey is the foundation of my coaching. It taught me that passion and persistence are the only credentials that matter. The results speak for themselves: I’ve had the honor of helping clients get published traditionally in both fiction and nonfiction, hybrid publish, and release highly-rated self-published books. Over the years, I’ve authored many writing programs such as my 100 Days of Writing, Get Writing Again in 15 Days, and the upcoming 30-Day Writing Challenge in January 2026. So if you’ve ever felt like you don’t have the “right” background to call yourself a writer, I want you to know: you belong here. When I’m not coaching, you can find me writing my own stories, making a mess with paint as a mixed-media artist, or at my sewing machine. For me, it’s all about the joy of making things. |

I believe if we are meant to work together, we will, and because of that, I don’t believe in high-pressure sales tactics. My consultations are about getting to know if we are right for each other.
