Since we have a variety of services, we have different refund policies for each service.
SUNDAY/WEEKLY CREATIVE WRITING IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS
INDIVIDUALLY-PURCHASED SUNDAY WORKSHOPS
You must cancel 24 hours in advance of the workshop to receive a refund. The sooner you let us know, the better so that we can fill your seat. We will, on special occasions, allow you to roll over your registration to a future workshop.
MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS TO SUNDAY WORKSHOPS
If we are currently offering montly subscriptions to the Sunday Creative Writing Workshops, there are no refunds for missed workshops, but your seat is transferable so you can send someone in your stead if you’d like. We appreciate advanced notice if you or someone you designate cannot attend so that we may fill the seat. Your subscription will renew automatically 30 days after you subscribe. You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging in to PayPal following these instructions.
Upon written request from the purchaser, gift certificates will be refunded to the purchaser only.
REFUNDS FOR ALL OTHER IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS
IF YOU CANCEL
If you let us know seven days before the start date of your workshop, we will be happy to issue a refund. Please allow up to 10 days to process your refund. Cancellations after seven days before the workshop start date will not be refunded but may be transferred to another workshop.
IF WE CANCEL
If we cancel a workshop, we will refund your registration in full. Please allow up to 10 days to process your refund.
ONLINE EMAIL COURSES, WORKSHOPS, & CHALLENGES
There are no refunds for online workshops, email courses, and online challenges, however we may be able to roll your registration fee over to another workshop.
COACHING & EDITING
Coaching fees are non-refundable. In some cases, in an unusual circumstance and at the sole discretion of Los Angeles Writers Group, we may be able to transfer money paid for coaching to a workshop or to another writer.
Editing fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable to workshops.
First-Draft Incubator fees are non-refundable.
HOW TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
Your PayPal subscription will renew automatically. You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging in to PayPal and following these instructions. If you do cancel, you will remain a member until your month runs out. We do not pro-rate if you cancel before the end of your monthly billing cycle, but you are welcome to continue to participate until the end of your monthly billing cycle.
Registration fees for our retreats are refundable until 14 days prior to the retreat start date. If there are less that 14 days until the retreat, we can roll over your regsitration to a future retreat or to any of our workshops.
If you are paying for an advertisement on any of our websites or our mailing list, your fee is non-refundable once the ad goes live.
