Writers Bio:

J. Keith van Straaten graduated with a Liberal Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College, where he studied poetry with Mary Karr. He wrote sketch and stand-up comedy for several years, performing both at venues around the country. J. Keith's animation scripts and songs for "Casper," "Toonsylvania," and "Mega-Babies," air around the world (and he has the royalty check for 8 cents from Belgium to prove it). He's written lyrics for ABC News, sketches for Clear Channel Radio, blogs for Yahoo! Movies, and singles columns for The Jewish Journal.

As a performer, J. Keith can be seen as a talking head on VH1's "Best Week Ever" and E! Entertainment's "101 Celebrity ______." He hosted Comedy Central's game show "Beat The Geeks," and since 2004 has been producing and hosting "What's My Line? - Live On Stage" in Los Angeles (coming to New York in 2007). J. Keith has appeared on TV shows such as "Curb Your Enthusiasm, "Gilmore Girls," and "Beverly Hills, 90210" and in commercials for companies including McDonald's, Nike, Pizza Hut, Talk America, and Schick.

Currently, J. Keith is developing several musical, game show, and documentary projects, and runs an  LAwritersgroup.com writers group in New York. Rumor has it that he is also the ghost writer for this bio. More at www.jkeith.net.
