Miranda has been teaching the craft of writing for over 12 years at colleges in New York City including Baruch, St. John’s University, and TCI Institute. She has taught fiction, essay writing, the personal essay, and poetry to as many students that she can, always focusing on her true passion, which is helping people to express themselves.
Before moving to LA a year ago, she left her longtime home of NYC and spent two years in Europe, residing at artist residencies: Foundation Obras in Portugal, Linea de Costa in Spain, and Jiwar in Barcelona, Spain. She received a grant from Can Serrat in Spain and the Tenot Grant from CAMAC Center D’art in France. She earned her MFA from the New School and a BA in journalism from NYU.
Her work has been published in Sunday Salon, and The Great Wall of Change, and featured in “Homeland,” an exhibition in Portugal. She is currently finishing her first novel.
