Archer teaches our newest workshop, Lazybones Writing Magic.
Archer Kateri is a trained and certified Martha Beck and Mind-Body Coach as well as an accomplished Graphic Designer. Archer dealt with several health challenges, and they weren’t the kind that medical science could solve. She searched for alternatives and worked with a mind-body coach. It was such a success; she ended up becoming a Mind-Body Coach herself. She now works with women to help resolve pelvic pain and has written a book called Stay Sober and Save the World the Cave Woman Way, which incorporates many mind-body skills. She used these skills to help get through the process of writing and editing her book. In particular, one skill she dubbed Lazybones Magic, which became the basis of this course.
Healing work happens in our bodies as well as our minds, as you will discover in this course. All humans share a deep creative need, but most of us are taught we need to do things perfectly. We can relearn how to enjoy our lives and bring creativity back into writing. The Lazybones Magic way.
I’ve had several health challenges in my life, and they weren’t the kind that medical science had answers for. I searched for alternatives and worked with a mind-body coach. It was such a success I ended up becoming a mind-body coach myself. One mind-body skill is called “freewriting.” Basically, you just write without stopping. I wrote my first draft using freewriting. For subsequent drafts, I employed other mind-body tools that were really helpful in getting my back to my project each day. I think they’ll be useful for other people too.
