Naomi Shihab Nye in conversation with Lisa Napoli Writing The Poetry Landscape

Saturday, March 8 at the Fowler Museum

Naomi Shihab Nye is an award-winning Palestinian-American writer, anthologist, educator and self-described “wandering poet.” She brings her wanderings to UCLA in conversation with a special guest host and will share insight into her creative process. Nye draws on her Palestinian-American heritage, the cultural diversity of her home in Texas, and her experiences traveling in Asia, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America and the Middle East, using her writing to attest to our shared humanity. The author and/or editor of more than 30 volumes, Nye has been a Lannan Fellow, a Guggenheim Fellow and a Witter Bynner Fellow (Library of Congress).
