Workshop for Advanced Writers
We're excited to
offer you a unique opportunity to take part in an in-depth writing
workshop that is part of our continuing advanced mentorship program.
This workshop meets once a week for 4 hours and is designed to provide
constructive guidance and feedback on long-form novels, memoirs,
short-story collections, essay collections, or non-fiction works.

Moderator
Clare Elfman, an Emmy-winning
writer and successful novelist will be leading this workshop.

This workshop takes place over the course of 8 weeks and meet every
Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. The
cost for the workshop is $400 for eight weeks.
We are located in
Hollywood, California but run groups throughout Los Angeles, and
this workshop takes
place in a private home in West Los Angeles, in the Brentwood area.
Who can Join, i.e. what type of writers / writing?
This workshop is for serious fiction and non-fiction writers,
essayists, or memoirists with an eye toward publication on a long-form
project that is at least in it's first draft stage. This is an
amazing opportunity to take your work to the next level.

the Workshop
If interested in applying, please

form then send a brief writing sample (a chapter
of a novel or memoir or a short story or essay from a collection) along
with a description of the project you would like to workshop with Ms. Elfman to Sanora Bartels at
sanora@lawritersgroup.com. (Please do not send samples directly to
or e-mail Ms. Elfman. All writers must go through our approval
process first.)
Please submit your material as soon as possible
because we qualify writers and then take sign-ups on a first-come
first-served basis.
